Transfer Information

You should have received an email from HR about the transfer window opening from HR. I will be placing a letter in your box next week about your intention for next year. Please fill it out and return to the folder in my box outside my door. This letter asks what your plans are for next year and if you are interested in changing grade levels.

February 1, 2020: Employee transfer application added to employee portal.

February 28, 2020: Employee transfer application closes on employee portal. This date will likely be extended.

Last day of instruction: Opportunity for principal (or supervisor) to allow transfer ends.

All employees can apply for a lateral transfer if they are not currently on any type of intervention plan for unsatisfactory performance. Employees placed on the “Priority Excess” list due to enrollment shifts must be placed in available positions (if they possess appropriate certificate).

Jump Rope for Heart Presentation

American Heart Association will host a "kick-off" on Friday, February 7th for our Jump Rope for Heart event.This is our early release day. We will have two 30 minute sessions.

Technology-10 X 10 lessons

Reminder: By this time in the year you probably have completed the 10x10 lessons in your curriculum. These lessons were created to give teachers a guide to skills that students need to be successful using devices. Touch base with your team to see where you are as a grade level with the lessons, and which ones have been valuable to you!

Tip: Have students always go to Managed Bookmarks > SSO Portal when using the internet. All applications will then be signed in, and all websites or tiles clicked on should work seamlessly!

Progress Report Information

Progress Report Timeline and Information:

  • Grading period ends: Friday, January 31
  • Finalize deadline: Tuesday, February 4 at 4:00 pm (or campus designated time)
  • Distribution: Friday, February 7

K-1: Progress Report Template was previously provided to the teacher by the LTC(also downloadable in the Empowered2Educate itslearning course under Skyward—Standards-Based-Grading)

o Progress Report file (25 copies in one file). Teachers may have chosen to make an electronic copy of the Q1 Progress Report file and edit existing responses for Q2, 3, and 4 progress reports, then save each PR file. Comments are required for K-1.

Grades 2-5: Skyward Progress Report

o Events should be entered in Skyward

o Comments added for individual events will print on the Q3 Progress Report

o Events marked missing are visible on the Progress Report

o Comments are not required unless specified by your campus. Teachers can type their own comments in Word, print and staple to PR, or they may be handwritten

o Click the NEW button for any new students to record grades from the previous CCISD school.See the LTC if assistance is needed.

o Data Specialists will be printing progress reports for grades 2-5.

5- Call THAT PARENT to tell them something they are doing well! Have they used a kleenex to blow their nose, giving a friend positive encouragement, sat in their chair for 15 minutes? If you need your class covered to do this, let us know! (This is NOT a text, message, note or email…VOICE TO VOICE!)

National School Counseling Week

The theme for this year is Helping Build Better Humans!

On Wednesday during your morning meeting, you can ask your students how your school counselor helps you be better. We will have a sign in your box and you can jot some of their answers on.
