Parliamentary Debate Year 13 students attended hustings to hear the views of the Corby and East Northants parliamentary candidates. | Birmingham University Visit Hollie Wright from Birmingham University met with students to talk about University life for those with a specific interest in theatre and film. | Year 11 Employability Skills Interviews Year 11 students took part in interviews as a taster of what to expect in a real life scenario, thank you to our governors and visitor Alice who gave up their time to support this. |

Students:
- Mr Godfrey has nominated Year 9 students Denisa and Anya for their perseverance and great attitude in Physics.
- Mrs Arnold would like to thank the following Year 10 students for their support during the Awards evenings, Sam, Arnas, Lukas and Dagan.
- Miss McGrath has nominated Year 9 Biologists for great focus during the lessons this week and for sparking fantastic discussion into stem cell use and Year 10 students Carmen, Klaudia, Liam, Ashley and Zak for hard work in a difficult hormone topic.

Mrs Tams has nominated Year 10 students Shaylan and Junior for great work in German this week.
Mrs Brightwell has nominated Year 10 student Grace who was participated in a dance competition and came 1st for her routine in the Cha Cha and 3rd for her routine in the Waltz.
Mrs Brown has nominated the Year 11 students who did the English Mock – whatever grade they get, they all took it seriously and conducted themselves very responsibly.
Year 11 Physics Workshop
Peter Tiktin from the Institute of Physics delivered a masterclass on radioactivity with both the Year 11 triple science and the Year 13 A-level physics classes. This was a unique opportunity to engage with a real expert in the area and the sessions included cloud chambers, spark counters and many other applications. He also trained the staff in the science department to use our new radioactivity equipment which will be a great tool to really engage our students.

Year 9 student Rowan for fantastic use of key vocabulary in History
Year 10 Maths students were writing their own GCSE exam questions using the key vocabulary they had been given.
Literacy News:
Year 7 tutor time have been looking at online safety and debating key aspects of it.
