Chinese New Year Celebration
Hello everyone,
I want to invite you and your family to the annual Chinese New Year celebration.
It is a free and fun event on January 25, from 12-3 pm at the Coppell Cozby Library. We will have Chinese calligraphy, a lion dance, games, and more! This event is for all ages.
The Chinese classes from all three high schools have planned and prepared this celebration for months. We're looking forward to seeing everyone there.
We also want to invite you all to help us fundraise. We are selling t-shirts that are $10/each. The proceeds will go directly to the budget, which ensures that we will have a successful event!
Ms. Andrea Voelker
Congrats Tennis!
Sofia Sanchez will be signing to play tennis at Mary Hardin Baylor next fall. The Signing Day Celebration will take place at the CHS Area on February 5, 2020 @ 8am. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sofia's accomplishment.
Additionally, All-District Honorees have been announced for 2019 Team Tennis:
Every year All-District teams are chosen by all the head coaches in a district for Team Tennis. Each head coach nominates players from his team for each honor based on such things as: how that athlete performed in district play, minutes played during the season, statistics, work ethic, attitude, and how that athlete is looked upon by opposing coaches; however, coaches can only vote for players from other teams. Coppell Tennis obviously has a very dominant presence on the All-District Team!!
The following honorees are New Tech @Coppell students:
Boys Singles
- Cason Cole Honorable Mention
- Sofia Sanchez Honorable Mention (w/ her partner Lindsay Patton)
- Cason Cole Honorable Mention (w/ his partner Nandini Thallpareddy)
- Newcomer of the Year- Sofia Sanchez
