Does your child complain of leg, knee, shoulder, elbow, or wrist pain? Complain about back pain or seems clumsy or falls often? Dr. Steven Potaczek will hold free appointments at the OSF Galesburg Clinic at 3315 N. Seminary, Galesburg, IL. Please call 1-800-272-0074 between 9 AM and 4 PM Monday through Friday to register for the clinic. The is sponsored by Illinois Elks Children's Care Corporation, Galesburg Elk Lodge 894 and Kewanee Elks Lodge 724.
Veteran's Day is Thursday, November 11, 2021
Students are encouraged to wear red, white and blue that day. Donations are being collected that day for the Wounded Warrior Project.
MWES Family Reading Night - November 18th
Mrs. Fleisher and Mrs. Shrader are organizing a virtual reading night that is full of many guest readers for your family to enjoy. To kick off the event, we are hosting a spirit day at Mable Woolsey that day.
Please have students come dressed as their favorite book or character. If you do not have a costume - no worries! Dress in the same color as the book! If you are able, bring a copy of the book or a picture of the book with you to school that day. Please make sure all outfits are school appropriate (no violence themes, weapons, etc).
Let us all celebrate the love of reading!
Christmas Parade - December 4th
If you are interested in having your team, organization, or group walk in the parade, you are welcome to contact Karen Benjamin at 309-337-6984 with questions. Meet at the Knoxville High School at 1:00 PM to stage before the parade starts.
