Cinema Vitti
L'ultimo Pulcinella, Maurizio Scarparo, 2008
Michelangelo (Massimo Ranieri), a theater actor, leaves Napoli after he finds out his son Francesco (Domenico Balsamo) has fled his home to hide in the suburbs of Paris, after having witnessed a Camorra shooting. During his time in France, Michelangelo finds an old friend of his (Jean Sorel) and he meets Maria (Adriana Asti), owner of a dilapidated theater. Thanks to their help, Michelangelo not only succeeds in reconquering the trust of his son, but also decides to realize his dream: to perform a musical on Pulcinella, inspired by Rossellini's unknown script, with the participation of the young people of the banlieues. All of this occurs in the midst of growing tension with the police.
