YOUTH ART MONTH EXHIBITION
March is Youth Art Month (YAM) and Buckhorn will be represented at the Huntsville Art Museum's annual Youth Art Month Exhibit. This exhibit celebrates the talent of North Alabama's young artists and arts teachers.
Our talented BHS senior, Devyn Taylor, has been selected by a panel of judges to have an art piece on display in this wonderful exhibit! You can see her artwork pictured in the attached image, but do you know what's even better? Going and seeing it in person!
We are also excited to announce that BHS art teacher, Mrs. Anna Hill's painting, Where Alabama Meets Georgia, has been selected to represent the Madison County School System and will be on display during the Huntsville Art Museum's Juried Art Teachers' Biennial Exhibition.
Devyn's artwork and Mrs. Hill's painting will be on display from March 12th until April 23rd, 2023.
Please note that this Sunday, March 12th, is also FREE Community Day at the Huntsville Art Museum! So, if you don't already have plans, then please come and see Mrs. Hill's and Devyn's artwork (as well as hundreds of other beautiful artworks from North Alabama's youth!).
Youth Art Month is promoted and observed in March by the National Art Education Association and by the Huntsville-Madison County Art Education Association. It emphasizes the value of art education for all children and encourages public support for quality school art programs.
Congratulations to Devyn and Mrs. Hill! #BuckPride

This reporting hotline is monitored 24/7 by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department. All reports are forwarded to the School Resource Officer(s) who is assigned to the respective school. The school administration may be contacted as well.

Sign Up to Round Up!
The Round Up Program was started by The Schools Foundation and Huntsville Utilities to support local public school systems. The Schools Foundation is a funding partner of Madison County Schools. The more residential and commercial locations that round up, the more funding we can receive. Estimates show that if just half of the residential Huntsville Utilities users rounded up, it would generate approximately $500,000 to support our schools! By rounding up your utility bill to the nearest dollar each month, you help invest in the future of our students!
You can easily sign up to round up online:
https://www.hsvutil.org/community_resources/programs/sign_up_to_round_up.php
It might be a penny, it might be 25 cents, it might be 99 cents, but it will be no more than $11.88 a year. It takes less than 1 minute to fill out.
Thank you for supporting one of our community partners! Go Bucks!
