CLASS DOJO
HOMEWORK
For homework students are expected to read for 20 minutes a day and respond to 1 question in their Independent Reading Log once a week. Please initial your child's daily planner once all homework is complete!
If your child needs extra support in spelling or memorizing math facts spending time at home on www.spellingcity.com/user/Grossarth and www.reflexmath.com is a great way to strengthen these skills!
POWERSCHOOL
School District #91 is pleased to provide you with your PowerSchool Parent Access information. This program allows you to take an active role in your student's education with real-time access to attendance, school announcements and academic progress for your student's classes through the Internet connection you already use.
To access PowerSchool:
1. Go to http://www.ifschools.org/sunnyside
2. Select "PowerSchool" (Parent instructions for logging in are on the login screen.)
BIRTHDAYS
Children will feel extra celebrated and loved on their birthdays as we sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to them and give them an opportunity to choose a little gift from the birthday box. Students may bring in birthday treats for the class as long as they are store bought, individually wrapped, nut free and can fit in their backpack. Those with a summer birthday will be celebrated on their half birthday!
Please DO NOT pass out invitations to private parties at school unless the entire class is being invited. It is more appropriate to deliver invitations to private parties outside of school.
Please be aware that birthday deliveries of flowers, candy, balloons etc. will be held in the office and the student will be informed to pick up their delivery before going home.
