GO COYOTES !!!!!

COYOTE FAMILIES

This year we are honoring our entire staff with a Holiday Luncheon for teachers, custodians, paras, office and cafeteria staff, to thank them for all of their hard work and commitment to our kids this school year.

If would like to help us in saying "Thank You" to our entire staff, please consider donating a gift card or gift basket to our school. We will collect donations in the front office and we will raffle off all of the donated items at our Holiday Luncheon for all employees to enjoy. This way, not only our teachers will be thanked this holiday season, so will our support and clerical staff that work behind the scenes each day to support our educational efforts with our kids.

Thank you for your consideration and Happy Holidays!

THANK YOU SAFEWAY FOR YOUR DONATION!!!!!!!

On Wednesday December 5th Principal Farabee attended the ribbon cutting for the grand opening of our new Safeway Grocery Store located on Ironwood and Ocotillo. Principal Farabee was presented with a check for $1000.00.

Combs High School would like to thank The Safeway Foundation for their generous donation. We appreciate your support and your gift will be put to great use. Your recent donation means that The Safeway Foundation understands just how important Combs High School and its programs are to our community.

MEET MS. MEADS

Many students dread taking a foreign language, not because it’s hard or boring, but because they have to be there instead of in a class they had more freedom in choosing. New spanish teacher, Allison Meads, felt this way not so long ago when she was a high school freshman.

COUNSELORS CORNER

The Signs Of Suicide presentations by MiKid went well and students were able to learn about resources and help for those times they are feeling down. These presentations led to some great discussions and we appreciate Heather being on campus to share her experiences. Many of our Seniors took the ACCUPLACER test this week with Hazel from Central Arizona College. This test is required and used by all Arizona community colleges to place students in the appropriate classes, and our students did very well in the math portion of the test. Way to go Seniors! A quick reminder to parents that attendance matters! Students can lose credit in their courses if they have too many absences, so please be sure that they are present and on time, especially as we wind down the semester and prepare for finals.
