Independent Study Updates

March, 2019

General Information

Dear Students and Parents,

There are only 14 more school weeks in the semester. Students, make sure you are adhering to due dates in your Apex classes and keeping up with assigned work so you complete your courses before the end of the school year. If you need a quiet, focused place to work come to our classroom.

Students must complete all Apex courses prior to June 7,2019 in order to receive credit. The option of completing these courses over summer will not be available.

Please read through this newsletter so you are aware of important dates and upcoming events.

Summer School Options

As of right now, there will be no Independent Study summer school offered this summer. Students can enroll in summer school at their home school or take community colleges courses over the summer. If you intend to enroll in summer school at your home school please make an appointment with your home school counselor as soon as possible. Community college summer schedules should be available within the next few weeks. Students will need to complete a Concurrent Enrollment form with me in order to enroll in a community college course.

The district does not offer Apex, but students may be able to complete courses through another online program, Cyber High. Discuss this option with your home school counselor if interested.
