Hello Spartans,
CVH is challenging all students!
Mr. Neria and Ms. Cabe will be sending our students daily messages through Jupiter and Infinite Campus regarding this 9 week challenge that aims to make students feel more connected to our school. Each week has a different focus. Please make sure to read through these messages in their entirety, for important information and tips on connecting to our school! The areas of focus are:
Improving your grades/study tips (Week 1);
Connecting with the school! (Week 2);
Mental health (Week 3);
College Promotion (Week 4);
Career Promotion (Week 5);
Attendance Challenge (Weeks 6-9).
Week 1 Challenge: Improving your grades/study tips:

I continue to encourage those of you that have not completed a lunch application for this school year, to please do so. Not only do you have a chance to qualify for free or reduced cost lunches, but additionally, our schools receive Federal funding based on applications submitted, not only for those that qualify for the program. We currently are at 62% and our goal is to be at 78% by October 30, 2020. In addition, for those that qualify, you could be eligible for the following benefits:
- Fee-reduced and/or free College Entrance exams:
- Advanced Placement (AP)
- Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT)
- American College Testing (ACT)
- Fee waiver on college applications
- Household internet and SDGE discounts
- Student city bus pass discount
- Financial benefits – EBT card

Sigo animando a aquellos de ustedes que no han completado una solicitud de almuerzo para este año escolar a que lo hagan. No solo tiene la oportunidad de calificar para almuerzos gratis o de costo reducido, sino que además, nuestras escuelas reciben fondos federales basados en las solicitudes enviadas, no solo para aquellas que califican para el programa. STUDENT DEVICE TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Tech Support will be offered from 8:30am -12pm on Tuesday and Thursday this week in the library for students that are having issues with their devices. Students will be screened at the K street gate and then can get help at the library window on K street. Please follow all San Diego County COVID-19 safety guidelines for entering campus.

If you answer yes to any of these symptoms or conditions, please do not come to campus:
a. Known exposure to a person with COVID-19
b. Fever
c. Cough
d. Shortness of breath; difficulty breathing
e. Chills
f. Repeated shaking with chills
g. Fatigue
h. Muscle pain
i. Headache
j. Sore throat
k. Congestion or runny nose
l. Nausea or vomiting
m. Diarrhea
n. New loss of taste or smell
o. Is anyone in your home exhibiting COVID-19 like symptoms?
