COVID-19 Related School Closure
COVID-19 Updates
Students who are not symptomatic may remain in in-person learning as long as they are symptomatic. They must wear a mask for 10 days after their last date of exposure. They should self-monitor and parent-monitor for symptoms of COVID. They should isolate and get tested if they start to experience symptoms associated with COVID.
If your student is sick, please do not send them to school. We can only provide test kits for our students at this time due to the number of tests available. These tests can be administered at the school or they can be taken home but

School Closing Info
We will inform families in the following ways:
- TV: NBC4, 10tv, and Fox28
- Voicemail
- Robocall and text
On these days, busses will not run and nobody will be at the school.
Should there be a day when we cannot have school do to conditions at the building (water main break, no heat, etc.), we will notify families in the methods above but busses may still run and there will be staff at the building.
We have a number of calamity days built into the schedule. However, it may become necessary to utilize some days as virtual learning days. We will do our best to give families time to prepare for these days. During virtual learning days students are expected to participate in all of their courses on-line from 7:45 - 2:30PM and attendance will be taken.
If your family needs wifi or technology assistance, please call the front office and we will work on a solution with you.
WINTER FORMAL & SPIRIT WEEK
Winter Formal/Spirit Week Updates:
TCS' Winter formal will be taking place at the Whetstone Park Shelter house on January 22nd. Doors will open at 7 PM and the theme of our Winter formal is Starry nights!
Any students that are looking to attend the Winter formal have to buy tickets which are $15. Tickets can be purchased during your lunch period and through cash app. The Cash app handle is $TCSGov.
Students can also buy a TCS Panther shirt which can count towards Winter formal tickets. A Panther shirt and formal tickets are $25 and shirts come in XS-3X.
Festivities for the Winter formal will also start on spirit Week will start next week on January 18th. The dress days for spirit week are...
Tuesday, January 18= PJ day,
Wednesday, January 19th= Twin day,
Thursday, January 20th= Dress to Impress day
Friday, January 21st= TCS Pride Day (Black & Gold are the school colors)

We expect that Columbus City Schools will update the routes during the first two weeks of school. We will do our best to help students and families navigate any routing changes.
If your student is waiting to be picked up in the morning, and their bus does not come, call
