STATE-REQUIRED SCHOLAR ASSESSMENTS BEGIN ON MONDAY, MAY 10!
We thank you for your continued attention to messages from the schools, as they may be important and regarding schedule updates.
GENERAL INFORMATION : STATE REQUIRED ASSESSMENTS FOR GRADES 3-8 & HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARS
For the current school year, the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) requires all public schools (including public charter schools like Propel Schools) to administer state-required assessments.
In our careful planning for scholar assessment days, Propel will be using smaller group settings so that CDC recommended social distancing will be possible. All scholars will be using Chromebooks so that there will be no sharing of testing tools (booklets, writing devices) between scholars.
Please note that due to PDE regulations, all assessments MUST be completed in-person, regardless of the learning protocol selected by the families.
What does this mean for our school communities?
Propel holds the expectation that all scholars will report for in-person assessments according to the schedule shared by the school's leadership team.
Schoolwide outcomes of the assessments will be publicly reported on the Future Ready PA Index, a measurement tool for school progress and student success.
What does this mean for school families?
All scholars regardless of learning protocol (in person or remote) will report to their school to take these assessments, according to the schedule communicated by the school's leadership team.
100% Remote Learning scholars who will report to buildings for assessments will have breakfast available as well as bag lunches available on testing days.
School Leadership teams will continue to reach out to you with pertinent information about assessment schedules and details.
PROPEL PARTNERS WITH UPMC TO OFFER COVID-19 VACCINE CLINICS!
