Summer 2021

Dear Parents and Guardians
I hope that you all enjoy your summer. Memorial has sent home a summer reading and writing challenge for all the students. We hope that students will read and write this summer so they keep their skills sharp in the summer. Research has shown that students typically slide back 2 reading levels in the summer. We want better for our students. I have attached the forms to this email as a back up.

A Letter from Eleanor
Now that it is time for summer vacation, I am sure I will miss you. Mom (Mrs. Misecko) said I could come home with all of you, so here I am. I would love to be included in your summer plans. Please cut me out and include me in the fun. If you go to the library, to the beach, on a trip across the country, or any other place, please take me with you. I’m not sure how I feel about roller coasters, horseback riding, or white water rafting. It might not be good if I get wet. I love to be read to and help bake/eat cookies. My mom would love some pictures of you and me. Please send her one of me and you together. You can email it, send it through ClassDOJO or post it on my Instagram account. She wants to follow all our adventures.
THANKS and LOVE,
Eleanor
