Home of the Little Giants
Principal's Message
As we wrap up our first semester, I want you to pause and think about the growth in your child. At the beginning of the year, I told you that they were going to work hard and show more growth than you'd imagine. They have proven this to be true. Your children have made great strides in many ways.
Over the first semester, our students have really taken off as readers. They're showing improved mastery of their letters and sounds. They're not only blending words to read, they're using these skills in their writing, too. Over break, I strongly encourage you to spend time reading for fun with your child. Enjoy books, question them about what you're reading, and have them point out words they see as your are driving around town. I'm confident you will be impressed by their skills!
Over break, I will be enjoying some time off with my not-so-little babies, but I will also be missing my Little Giants, too. I will look forward to returning to school on January 3rd and being greeted by my 410 smiling students. Until then, Happy Holidays to you and your family.
Much Love,
Mrs. Lora Hansell
