From Mrs. Pustay

Upon our return to school from the holiday break, students and staff members were required to wear face coverings while inside our school building and on school buses. This was a result of the Order of the Acting Secretary and the new Health and Safety Plan, which was approved by the CBSD Board of Education on August 31, 2021.

Individuals, including students, staff, parents, and all visitors, who wish to request a mask exception must carefully review and submit the Central Bucks School District’s face covering exemption form. NO other form will be accepted for reason of exemption from the face-covering order. Please send the signed hard copy form to school with your child if they will not be wearing a mask. You can find the link to all forms below including our current Health and Safety Plan.

As you send your child to school with a mask you may want to review proper mask-wearing. Teachers and staff will provide gentle reminders, to those students wearing masks, to keep them fitted correctly, covering the mouth and nose and not under their chin.

As always I appreciate your support and respectful collaboration as we work through this together.

Thank you-

Mrs. Bridget M. Pustay

Race for Education

This week kicked off the Titus Race for Education, and next Thursday, September 23rd, students will take part in the Race for Education Fun Run! Volunteers are needed to help during each race to make this event a success. Races are scheduled to be held outside by grade level, but will be moved indoors in the case of inclement weather. If you would like to volunteer to help out on race day, please click here to see the available time slots as well as see when you child will be completing their race. As a reminder, all volunteers must have the clearances required by Central Bucks School District. For more information about clearances, click here.

We also welcome parents, caregivers, and family members to join us on race day (if held outside) to support our students and our school - wear your black and gold, and bring your bells, whistles, and pom poms as we cheer on our Titus Tigers!

Thank you for your support! We look forward to working together AS ONE!

After School History Club

Does your 5th or 6th grader enjoy learning about history-– the people, places, and events of the past? Club members will help decide on the direction of the club, but we will learn facts, make food, dig for artifacts, debate some topics, play games, and share our love of history with others (mini lessons for younger grades?)

What topics do we learn about?

Past topics include- Battle of Gettysburg, Great Depression photographer, the Cold War, Colonial clothing, bee keeping then and now, WWII re-enactors, Would you survive the plague?, knights and heraldry, & more

This year’s possible topics- the Colosseum, history mysteries, inventions, WWII code talkers, colonial games and more

When does the club meet and how do I sign up?

Fall session meetings will be on Tuesdays Oct 12th- Dec 14th from 3:30-4:30 PM at Titus. Sign-ups open on September 27th at 5:00 PM. Check next week’s Tiger Times for the link to sign up. Space is limited. If we have more students interested than space available, we will use a lottery system to determine participants.

Any questions, please contact club advisor, Mrs. Schorpp hniemeyerschorpp@cbsd.org

Volunteers Needed!

All of the efforts of the Home & School Association require the help of many hands. We welcome and encourage you to get involved in any way possible, as you are automatically a part of the Home & School Association by just being a Titus family. Whether on site at school, or from your home, there are many ways to volunteer:

  • Serve on the Home & School Association Board
  • Chair or co-chair a committee
  • Help prepare or set-up for an event
  • Assist at an event
  • Donate supplies/food for an event
  • Make gifts to sell at The Secret Shop

Please join us on Thursday, September 23rd at 7:30 p.m. at Titus for an information session to learn more about how you can get involved! While an RSVP is not necessary, it does allow us to ensure that we have enough handouts on hand for all attendees. You can RSVP by emailing president@titushsa.com. Hope to see you there!
