Input Devices
An input device is a piece of computer hardware equipment used to provide data and to an information processing system such as a computer. It is a hardware device that sends data to a computer, allowing you to interact with and control the computer. Examples of input devices include keyboards, mice, scanners, digital cameras and joysticks.

An output device is anything that receives data from a computer, usually for display. For example, a printer is an output device that can make a physical copy of any information shown on your monitor. Another example of an output device is a monitor, which displays an image that it gets from the computer. Monitors and printers are two of the most common output devices used with a computer.
