Input Devices

An input device is a piece of computer hardware equipment used to provide data and to an information processing system such as a computer. It is a hardware device that sends data to a computer, allowing you to interact with and control the computer. Examples of input devices include keyboards, mice, scanners, digital cameras and joysticks.

Output Device

An output device is anything that receives data from a computer, usually for display. For example, a printer is an output device that can make a physical copy of any information shown on your monitor. Another example of an output device is a monitor, which displays an image that it gets from the computer. Monitors and printers are two of the most common output devices used with a computer.
