Come for information on short-term programs, study abroad opportunities and the National Student Exchange. Meet representatives from nearly 20 WSU affiliated providers. Talk with WSU students who have studied away.
Also Note: The first info session for a short term faculty-led trip to India is scheduled for Thursday, Sep. 27 at 2:30 p.m. in Sullivan 301.
Poetry Reading This Saturday @ 2pm

On Saturday, 9/22 beginning at 2:00 pm, WSU art professors emeritus Sandra Kocher, Doris Carter, and Michel Merle will present poetry inspired by their paintings and other art work in the StarBuck's café in the LRC. Before the main program, an open reading will be held that is open to all WSU students, the greater Worcester community, and any others who might want to read their poems. Sign up to happen before 2:00. The event is free and open to the public.

It will run Thursday 9/6, 9/13, 9/20 from 11:30-12:30 in the Student Affairs Conference Room, Room 326 in the Student Center. Required First Year Student Program | True to Life: It IS My Place - Thurs Sept. 20

Through the use of theater and audience participation, “It IS My Place”, tackles the difficult topics of sexual violence, drugs and alcohol and bias incidents. The program equips students with the tools to recognize problematic situations and identify intervention strategies. This is for students who did not attend the Sept. 17th session.
Attendance will be taken.
Students should bring their One Cards.

Structured similar to martial arts, members level-up each semester while learning new skills and earning new gear along the way. Win a Prize by Going Green! The Office of Sustainability is challenging students to utilize green alternative items in their room on campus. Five green alternative items will get you a two pack of reusable stainless straws, and eight will earn you the chance to win an iPad. A valid entry consists of an email to green@worcester.edu coordinating a time for our office representative to visit your room and confirm the number of green alternatives you have. Entries will be accepted via email through September 14th and confirmation visits will take place from September 17th-21st.
Please join us for our Inaugural Fall Neighborhood Clean Up on Friday September 28th from 1:30pm to 4:30pm. We will be meeting in front of the May Street Building to clean up the Chandler/May Street area of our WSU neighborhood and the area behind campus that leads to Patch Pond. Volunteers receive free T-shirts at the start of the event and free pizza at the conclusion!
The 11th Annual Sustainability/Food Day Fair will be taking place October 17th and 18th. This two day event running from 9:00am to 2:00pm will boast a variety of green vendors, teach-ins, a farmers market, free movie viewings, and a totally local BBQ lunch. If you would like to volunteer for the fair, please contact us at green@worcester.edu.
