Georgia O'Keefe was a famous Ameican artist , she was born November 15, 1887 , and died March 6th of 1986 . Many people believed she was an amazing artist .

O'Keeffe's work has been represented in numerous exhibition catalogues. Collections of O'Keeffe's letters are housed at Yale University, New Haven. She drew mountains , people , and food.

Georgia was the second oldest of seven children, she grew on a farm in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Her ability was recognized and she was encouraged by family and friends. When she graduated from high school in 1905, Georgia had determined to make her way as an artist. She gave people her work to cheer them up. She wanted to express herfelf through art. She was important to woman because she opend up doors for women artist. this lets me know that I can do anything!
