Henderson County High School Career and Technical Education Department will host Annual Banquet with a Student Career Signing
The Henderson County High School Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department will host an annual banquet on Thursday, April 25th at 6:00 p.m. at Firedome Lumber Yard Event Center.
The banquet will honor students of the year from the 15 career pathway programs. New this year, the banquet will include a student career signing. This special recognition will be for 33 graduating seniors who plan to continue their employment at local businesses and industries after graduation.
The businesses include: Busy Bee Educare; Crossplains Farm; D-Patrick Honda; Effex Management Solutions; Farmer and the Frenchman; Gibbs Die Casting; Hercules Manufacturing; Methodist Hospital; PIttsburgh Tank and Tower; Redbanks Skilled Nursing Facility; T&T Pharmacy; and Royster’s Machine Shop.
The student signings will occur around 7:15 p.m.

Additional CTE Events and Information:
-Students from the Agricultural program will be partnering with the Downtown Henderson Partnership for Earth Day on Monday, April 22nd. Students will be planting flowers in the downtown Henderson area.
- Students will be receiving dual certification from Henderson Community College in a ceremony at the Preston Arts Center on Monday, April 22nd at 6:00 p.m.
- Henderson County High School Teen Community Emergency Response Team will certify sixty (60) students on Wednesday, April 24th, with an accident simulation. The simulation will be held on the campus of Henderson County High School in the back student parking lot from 9:15 a.m.- 12:15 p.m.
Students who are being certified will complete fire safety, search and rescue, cribbing, and medical operations. The goal of the simulation is to provide chaos, distraction, and real life experience. Students will be transferred to the hospital as part of the simulation and local law enforcement, fire department, EMS, and the National Guard will all be involved in the simulation.

-Students from the Carpentry program are putting the finishing touches on their student duplex project at 1633 Garfield. The house will be up for auction in late May or early June.
