The assassination of Archduke Francis Ferdinand
On June 28th, 1914 Archduke Francis Ferdinand and 5 others were assassinated. The purpose of the murderer was to make Austria-Hungary disappear and turn it into a bigger part of Yugoslavia. This caused the war because Austria-Hungary was mad about the assassination so they issued a war against Yugoslavia, and they declined but Austria-Hungary went with it anyways.
Lusitania
It was British ship that was sunk by a German u-boat in 1915. This made the British angry so that is why they declared war against Germany because Lusitania had 1,198 people on it, and they all died. This is one of the main causes of the World War
