Secondary succession is one of the two types of ecological succession of plant life. Secondary succession is a process started by an event like a, forest fire, harvesting, or a hurricane that reduces an already established ecosystem.

The difference between Primary and Secondary Succession is, primary succession doesnot have a community it is alone and can take place on a bare rock. Secondary succession is built from something that already happened.
