Cohort Update "Joy" -2022-
"History in the Making" (4/19/21)
- Joy -
Greetings to the class 2022 and to the Warrior Nation,
Here we are team with 5 full days of opportunities to grow, to learn and to find Joy in the little things in life. I often remind myself that finding small victories in life is a major factor in realizing the magnitude of the overall journey. For me, seeing all of you in the hallways between classes brings me joy. Attending extracurricular events and witnessing all of the talents that you possess brings me joy. And, I get joy from knowing that our team is doing all that we can to provide each you a safe place to come and entrench yourselves in the education necessary to carry you through your lives. Now, more than ever, we all need to find the joy in life and to spread that joy to our neighbors. There is nothing wrong with sharing a smile, a laugh or even a hug to the person next to us. Helping the person in your space will not only help them through the day, but it will bring joy to you as well. Let's gear up for a super week and lean on each other for support.
Have a great week and share a little joy so it can come back to you two fold!
WC-Strong!
Much Love,

Joy is my LIFE word, it is my driving force. It's the example I want to set, it is how I want to enter and leave a room, it's what I feel each and every day at WCHS.
Some of us haven't had the easiest of roads in life thus far. Many of us have not had the happiness we would like thus far. But, what we CAN choose to focus on and what we can all strive for is having JOY! Joy is experiencing the pleasure of life in general...the good, the bad, the ugly, and the emotions of it all. Switching up your attitude and perspective can allow you to take pleasure even in the saddest of moments and appreciate what IS there and not what is not.
As students, I'm asking you to really dedicate yourself to your education so that you can enjoy the results of your work. Respect the grind and rise up to the challenges and tasks at hand. Being joyful is being able to see that even when you are struggling, you have a choice and a team of people holding you up and holding you close to guide you through the rocky times.
I challenge you to take this week and live it in JOY and not fear! You have an opportunity to CREATE your life plan and utilize your team so WE can help you to experience this JOY OF LIFE! Today is a great day to begin the rest of your life!!!!!
- Never stop trying...
- Never stop believing...
- Never give up on yourself...
- Because you are enough...
Guess who Loves you?

From Mrs. Boyd - your Cohort Secretary!!!
What a great day to be a Warrior! How can I help you feel or discover the Joy in your heart and display it in everything that you do? Can you find the joy in the little things that come in and out of your daily routine? Let me be the first to say if you smile more, find happiness in the small things in life, and take time to be grateful for what is going right in your life vs what is not, you have more chances to experience pockets of joy and excitement. It will spread like a wildfire and change the way you approach your daily duties. If you need a boost, come see me so I can share my joy with you! I don't mind letting you borrow some...as long as you give it back...lol!
Slip in the office and say what's up on your in-person day!!!
Remember, If you have a new phone number, email address or new address where you live please get that information to me as soon as possible. If you have moved or your address has changed you must provide me with a new lease or mortgage and utility bill information.
Work permits are still being accepted. You can come by with your completed forms and I will look up all of your information to see if you will granted permission to be employed and earn some good money this semester. FYI...school work comes first!
You have 24 hours each day to make moves, use your time wisely!!!

The Joy we have in the class of 2022....
As we get closer and closer to the end of another school year we should find Joy in the closure of this academic year. Even though we love being here and seeing all of you every week, the joy comes from knowing that we are one step closer to the end goal. Your class has been working toward graduation for quite some time and each day that we get closer to that goal should bring a level of joy that shines through. We are so proud of the class of 2022 for stepping up and finding ways to push through all of the adversity and we are confident that even greater things await.
It is critical that each of you remember to check your emails at least a few times each week to stay informed and connected. There is a lot of information that's going to come your way in the weeks to come to ensure that you are ready for graduation. Please don't miss any opportunities, so get in the habit now of staying current with communication from the school.
If you have a questions about what's going on and you're not sure where to look, the 2022 Cohort Canvas page is a great place to start (it's also located at the bottom of this newsletter)!
Please remember to reach out to Mr. Fletcher with questions about SAT/ACT, fee waivers, scholarships, college applications, and all things related to preparing to continue your education. gfletche@warren.k12.in.us
Don't forget that we love you...
Don't forget that we're proud of you...
Most importantly, don't forget to love and be proud of yourself!
We LOVE you 2022...
