Our Library Lessons...

This rotation we learned about being good DIGITAL Citizens... This means that we use the technology in the Media Center responsibly. We explored a Nearpod presentation together. We learned how to travel safely on the internet and we compared how traveling safely in the real world is like traveling safely on the internet.

We learned three simple rules to keep in mind for good DIGITAL Citizenship.

1. Always ask a parent or teacher before you use the internet.

2. Only talk to and message people you know on the internet.

3. Stick to "just right" places for you on the internet.

Thank you Mrs. Brumlow and the amazing math teachers at Paine for our very successful Math Night and Family Night at the Book Fair. The parents were so complimentary of all the fun games and activities that took place that night. It was such a good experience for our students, teachers and especially our parents to get a hands on view of how we teach math here at Paine Elementary.

Makers Monday #funday...

We will be offering our friends here at the Paine Media Center some instructional choices on Monday's this year. Students will be allowed to choose which fun and educational activity they would like to participate in by making an instructional choice. Some choices may include Makers Space activities such as Kinetex, learning with Lego's, iPads, concentration building activities and we will also be checking out new books and taking AR tests.

Book Donations...

Thank you so much to our PTO for donating so many wonderful books to our Library. We appreciate all that you do for our boys and girls here at Paine Elementary. We are so happy to see all the new books in the Library. We did a little shifting of our materials this year. We added almost 2,000 new books and we are still processing more everyday.
