Hello Parents and Students,

Earlier this week the PAC met and finalized the budget for the 2020-2021 school year. Thanks to the PAC Executive for their dedication to the school especially during the uncertainty of these times. The parents and staff that attended the meeting were focused on planning for the best possible support of student learning and opportunity. Together we created a solid plan for 2020-2021.

At the final School Board Meeting last night it was announced that RC MacDonald is now the top school priority for SD43 applications for Universally Accessible Playground Equipment funding. This funding is awarded each spring to various schools across BC. We will find out in Spring 2021 whether the district's application for RC MacDonald is granted.

I hope this weekend you are able to take some time together in your families to celebrate Father's Day! When I think of the RC Mac dads a dark, rainy, perhaps frosty December morning comes to mind.... early prep for the Pancake Breakfast is where all those terrific dads come together to set up bbqs, pop up tents and cook up those delicious breakfast sausages!

Take care and see you next week for Report Card pick up and Grade 5 Farewells.
