Bulletin 3 | Autumn Term 2014

Information correct as at Friday 19 September 3.00pm

Year 7 Sports Coaching Morning on Saturday 20 September at Maidenhead Rugby Football Club SL6 1BN Apart from a structured rugby coaching morning, when coaches will start to formalise U12A, U12B and U12C squads, it is a good opportunity for parents to meet all Senior Boys rugby coaches, rowing and sailing staff, as well as Year 7 form tutors. The morning lasts from 9.15am-11.45am and will include refreshment at 11.15am

Parking at Phoenix Rugby Club - Yellow lines are being installed on both sides of Institute Road outside Phoenix RFC. When parking for school rugby fixtures, please use the field ten metres past the entrance to the rugby club.

GCSE Spanish Señora Rubió will be running a Spanish GCSE lunch time Study Clinic in Room H20 every Thursday from 1.15pm to 2.00pm, which will offer students extra support. Please encourage your sons to attend!

Many thanks to all who attended our Speech Day. The message from the Guest of Honour Anne Atkins was along the lines of persistence, determination and never giving up. These qualities were in the hall in abundance as the pupil body coped with an atmosphere that could only be described as 'tropical'.

A busy weekend ahead, I hope to see all of the Year 7 parents at Maidenhead Rugby Club for the boys training session, remember this is also the first chance to meet the Form Tutors. The rowers are staying at Maidenhead Rowing Club for their sponsored row (using ergo's), the bar will be open and there will be a BBQ and fun rowing events.

Next week Year 11 have their Tracking meetings with their Form Tutors, these are vital so that everyone understands the challenges the boys face this year.

"Stupidity is a personal achievement which transcends national boundaries".
