Summer Enrichment Program Update
Palmyra Area School District offered Kindergarten – 5th grade students the opportunity to participate in several different enrichment programs this summer. Research shows that students who read and write throughout the summer maintain their levels of reading that they worked so hard to achieve.
This summer 374 elementary students participated! Students read and practiced skills through participating in book exchanges, attending the CUB program, participating in the Palmyra Public Library summer reading program, keeping a reading log, and writing journal entries. Students also worked on programs like Study Island, Reading Eggs, Reflex Math, Ed City Math, and Type 2 Learn. Students received entries into a drawing for incentives, based on how much they completed or how many sessions attended.
