WBOP Rugby League 9-a-side Tournament
Last Wednesday, our TPS Rugby League Team competed in the annual WBOP Rugby League 9-a-side Tournament. Considering most of the children had never played rugby league, they did exceptionally well, learning and adapting to the rules and following strategic game plans. The team won 4 out of 5 games, losing only to the overall winners Te Akau Ki Papamoa School. Placings were based on points, and TPS finished in a well deserved 4th place. Ka mau te wehi! Nga mihi to Cam and Brent for coaching the team and making the day so enjoyable. There are photos below, taken by Miki from Drops Photography, of some of the players in action.
