Sharing Time
Learning Target - I can engage my students in the process of setting goals & self-monitoring their progress throughout the school year.
On Monday, you will be meeting together in multi-grade level teams for about an hour. I want you to take some time to share ways you are currently tracking your own student data and ways your students are tracking their own data. It's important that you take this time to share your ideas with other teachers. Everyone is asked to bring examples of what you are currently using.
- 3rd & 4th grade teachers will meet in room 301 from 8:30 - 9:30
- Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grade teachers will also meet from 10:30-11:30 in room 301.

Culture of Growth: Academic Mindset
Learning Target - I can explain how students’ mindsets influence learning.
Academic Mindsets are four key beliefs which deeply influence our behaviors as learners, and which enable learning success. These mindsets affect our motivation, strategies, and perseverance. They are:
- I belong in this learning community.
- I can change my abilities through effort (a growth mindset).
- I can succeed.
- This work has value and purpose for me.
What are your goals related to explicitly teaching the academic mindsets to students in order to increase student motivation? Dream a little. Describe your vision.
- How might you achieve those goals?
- What obstacles might you encounter?
- How can you overcome those obstacles?
