Kindergarten News
Jan 8-12
Next week students will start bringing home book that they will read to you. We call them "take-home" books. It is important that they read the book each night, one parent signs the form provided and return the next school day. Additional instructions on listening to you child read will be included. The books will start out very easy as our goal is to build strong, confident readers. Books will increase with difficulty as we progress. We have been working very hard for this moment and they are very excited to read to you!
Lots of different illnesses are among our community. Our school policy is that children should be fever free for 24 hours( without Tylenol or Ibuprofin) before they return to school. Children should also not have diarrhea or vomit for 24 hours before returning to school.
There will be a Valentine Play put on by the Kindergarten Class on February 13th. Parents and grandparents will be invited. More details to follow.
This week we started reading books about Laura Ingalls Wilder. We are learning many fascinating things that happened right here in the "Little Town on the Prairie" years ago!
Next week Show-n-Tell is letter Rr.
Have a great weekend!
