Principal's Message
This Monday marks the start of our spring sports and means more students can participate in a variety of activities. It also means our "fall" sports season has ended. I want to thank the coaches, parents, and players for their flexibility, commitment and determination they brought to the season.
We see those same traits in our students as they walk the halls. I am impressed as I enter classrooms and watch them as they interact with one another, ask questions, and focus on the work put before them. The students are making the best of the situation while on campus and each week shows their continued growth. I am looking forward to seeing that trend continue as we continue through this semester.
One of the activities taking place this week in preparation for next year is our third registration lesson for 9th-11th graders. If you haven't done so already, please take some time to talk with your student about their classes. The classes they choose should match their interests, help them with graduation requirements, and prepare them for success in their post-high school plans. It is important to have that conversation now as students will be submitting their course requests in their Homeroom class on Monday (A cohort) and Wednesday (B cohort) this week. There are resources available on the MHS website including our course catalog and slides from the Homeroom registration lessons if needed.
Whether talking about classes next year, reading the newsletter, checking grades on Skyward, contacting teachers, accessing the website, or viewing Google Guardian updates, we know there may still be questions that arise. Please do not hesitate to call or email me with those questions. I appreciate those who have done so over the course of this year and hope to be able to continue to improve our communication to better inform you of what we are doing on campus.
Stay safe. Stay healthy. Go Trojans!

Hybrid Learning Schedule
Trojan Wellness and Resources
Are you currently a Running Start junior and plan to take classes through Running Start again your senior year?
If so, you are required to sign and turn in the Running Start Agreement form again for the coming year. You can find the form on the high school website in the Registration Documents for 2021-22. Please return the form to your counselor.
2021-2022 Registration Information
This week in Homeroom, every student will receive a Registration worksheet for next school year. Please spend some time having a conversation about what classes either fill graduation requirements or lead to their college and career goals. The Registration worksheet needs to be brought back to school the following week so that the students can load their course requests into the computer. Parents, we genuinely would like for you to place your signature on the form so we know that you are aware of the classes your kids are choosing.
Our Course Catalog for the coming school year and many other pieces of information can be found on the high school website under Registration Materials
https://www.meridian.wednet.edu/mhs/blog/2021/03/08/registration-materials/
If Running Start is your choice, there is information available on the website as well.

Student Late Arrival and Early Pick Up

Thank you for helping to keep our school safe!
RALF
RALF stands for Remote Attendance Learning Form and is required for all students to complete on their non-campus days. This would be the two days their cohort is assigned to be home and on Fridays.
Each teacher has a link to the RALF in their google classroom. We have also provided a link here to the google form. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfTR8ZCRJJKcx4dr5OirHXt_MMjq-7DfyMeuwMeZYsgarna0A/viewform .
Students need to fill out the form for each class they are currently taking. The form needs to be filled out before noon each day to count as being present in classes. If not completed by noon, the student is marked absent for that class period. Students do not need to fill one out for Homeroom as that class is only offered in person.
REMINDER ABOUT ATTENDANCE
Being present in class is vital to be successful in school. We want to encourage all of our students to be at school every day! If you are missing school, you are missing out on learning!
