Curriculum Night
Curriculum Night is on August 23rd. I cannot wait to see all of the interactive sessions you and your teams provide! If you needs ideas, suggestions, or just want some help on the logistics of what to have in your classroom and talk it through please reach out to me.
Also, Sandra has Student Contact Information forms that she will print and give to each homeroom. Parents can review them and make changes/corrections on the form itself, then sign it. If no changes need to be made, they can need to still sign the form. Teachers, please make a class set copy of these forms for your emergency folders.
The originals need to be turned back in to Sandra and she will make any needed changes/corrections. Once that is done, she will give them to Cindy and she files them at the front desk.
We will also be passing out Home Access Center (HAC) codes this evening. Please remind parents they will need to show their driver's license in order to receive their child's HAC code.
You are ALL incredible teachers!!

PAWS PD
Hello! Thank you to everyone who filled out the PAWS PD Survey! I took all of the information you gave me and made some changes to PAWS PD for this school year. Below you will find the new updates!
- PAWs PD sessions will be limited to 30 minutes a session! If a session needs to be longer, we will make sure to note the time frame.
- Only 2 PAWS PD sessions are required a year, unless recommended by Admin.
- All sessions will be on a schedule- Monday or Thursday.
- A monthly interest form will be sent out in our new Admin Blog. This will allow you to sign up for a session when you are ready.
- I will have a form on the NPE Google Drive so you can see what sessions you have attended at any time.
Want to be a teacher leader and help support our NPE staff? Please check out our September PAWS PD Sign Up! The last survey you took really was anonymous so if you selected something you wanted to teach then, I do not know who you are! Please sign up on this link so you can help share all of your amazing knowledge!

TKES Update
I know many of you have had difficulty logging in to the TKES platform. I spoke with someone from the district today and she said it should be good to go now. To access the new TKES platform, go to the Employee portal and log into e-School, click on Tools, GA LDS Building 182 link (top right) which will go to the SLDS Teacher Dashboard. From there you can select TKES and locate the user guides, self-assessment and the orientation.
All TKES employees must complete the 1. Online Orientation 2. Self-assessment and 3. Professional Learning Goals or Professional Learning Plan by August 31st.
Teachers who are in their first 3 years of teaching, who have moved to GA from out of state, who are returning to the classroom after more than a year, or who are teaching in a new area of certification, or who scored below a level 3 on TAPS last year, must complete a Professional Learning Plan. All other teachers may simply enter Professional Learning Goals. We will review these at your pre-evaluation conferences in September.
