Celebrating the Freedom to Read
Banned Books Week, an annual celebration of the freedom to read since 1982, is observed the last week of September. Each year, librarians, booksellers, teachers and countless others take the opportunity to highlight the importance of intellectual freedom and remind us not to take this precious democratic freedom for granted.
Read Your Way to the Big Game
The Read Your Way to the Big Game Reading Contest is underway. Students who read six books by Friday, Nov. 6 will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win 4 tickets and sideline passes to the Clemson-Carolina football game! All RMSA students who complete the challenge will also be entered to win a chance to throw a pie in Mr. Pye's face!! For more information, click on the link below.
