A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR
The children were busy this week learning about firefighters, police officers, farms, neighborhoods, and more. Ms. Cherie presented some challenging obstacles in gymnastics and Mrs. Staurovsky taught students how to spoon materials from one dish to another in the atrium. As always we spent a lot of time outside and some classes released their newborn butterflies into the wild!
In the first week of each month, we will have spirit dress days at ECDC. Please refer to the parent handbook for spirit dress guidelines. Our first spirit days are next week, Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd.
Picture days have been rescheduled for October 6th and 7th and will be outside (weather permitting). Mrs. Bergner will email parents next week to let you know your child's assigned day. All students have free dress on picture days. Please remember to send appropriate shoes if your child needs to change after pictures.
If your child received immunizations since enrollment time in February, please send an updated copy to sarah.bergner@marquetteschool.org.

Earn Money for Marquette!
For years, Marquette has participated in a fundraiser called Scrip. It is a simple fundraiser that has the potential to earn a lot of money for our school. We have had very little support in the past, but with the new app, I'm hoping to change that! All you have to do is download the app, RaiseRight, and start earning. Purchase gift cards for everyday items (groceries, gas, home improvement, clothing, restaurants) through the app, and a percentage of each sale will go directly back to Marquette. For instance, my 11-year-old just hit a growth spurt and will need new uniform shirts and shorts. If I open my app, find Land's End, and purchase a $50 gift card, 15% of that will go back to Marquette! Or if I'm about to check out at Sam's Club or Target, I can open my app, purchase my gift cards, and scan the codes directly at check out! Marquette gets 2.5% back at both Sam's and Target.
If you download the app between now and Oct. 20th, your child(ren) will earn a SPIRIT DRESS day on Oct. 22nd/23rd!!
If you ever have questions, please reach out to Chrissie Gipson, cmgipson@yahoo.com
