Conservation vs. Preservation

Conservation vs. Preservation
Conservation is the belief that humans should still benefit with wildlife and habitats by hunting, using land, etc. as long as they do it in a sustainable manner, whereas preservation is the belief that wildlife should be maintained as is.
Glaciers are a form of the environment
Glaciers account for a lot of the world's fresh water, and as the temperature goes up, the glaciers melt faster, the polar ice caps melt faster, and the sea level rises. Scientists are trying to figure out ways to conserve and preserve this natural resource, but as the global temperature goes up, more of the glaciers melt. We could use desalinization to make more fresh water, as the glaciers have much of the world's fresh water, but that is a very expensive process and is normally only used as a last resort.
