Principal's Message
Hello, everyone! It was really nice to return to school this week and see all of your children. I really appreciate the way that everyone came back enthusiastic and optimistic about the rest of this school year and the new calendar year. I am sure that many of you were happy to have your children return to the routine that school provides:)!
However, the reality is that it was quite a challenging week in many ways, particularly with the events that occurred at the Capitol building and with the rise in COVID cases. It is important that we all process through these things and cope with them as best we can while supporting each other. It is most definitely challenging, to say the least.
If you know me, you know that I am forever the optimist and look for the positive in everything. I feel that we are blessed to work with primary age students and have the unique opportunity to influence and mold those that will shape our country and lead us in the future.
So..keep doing what you do. Keep that passion for your child. Keep working as hard as you do to make sure that your child completes all work and attends all Meets when learning virtually. I ask that you don’t ever settle for less. We are here to support you in this work. Please reach out if you have any questions or would like support.
I truly believe this and say it all the time:
We have all of the right people and pieces to be successful and our best! My mantra involves health and safety first along with consistency, communication, and all hands on deck. We’ve got this, Team EV! Let’s have a great week!

COVID-19 Updates
New Updates:
- If your child has tested positive for COVID, after the incubation period has ended, you must get an evaluation by the child's doctor that clears them for physical activity. Without that note, they cannot participate in gym. The completed form needs to be returned to the school nurse.
The Monroe County Department of Health recently provided new guidance for students and school staff who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or who may have come in contact with someone who tested positive. We recommend that you read and follow this guidance carefully to help limit the spread of COVID-19 in our schools and community.
