Hot so Hot if you like hot dry land this is the place to go. It is very flat and dry and at a low sea level. The pine flatwoods has Diverse birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. Dry prairies are primary habitat of threatened crested caracara land threatened sandhill crane.

Natural fires tend to maintain relatively stable stands of pine flatwoods and dry prairies. The Human Impacts include, extensive type of major terrestrial ecosystem in Florida; they are now being converted to many uses, including agriculture, pasture for livestock, and urbanization; alteration of natural fire regimes can cause major changes in species composition, even when not accompanied by land-use conversions. The pine flatwoods have large amounts of trees on a big flat area. The dry prairie is a dry open prairie. They both have little amounts of water which is acidic water. There are some Pine Flatwoods and Dry Prairies in Kissimmee and Tampa.
