Dublin Over with Laughter ♧♧♧
St. Patrick's Week
During speech, we read Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? and used our words to describe colors and animals. We then matched baby animals with mommy animals in a variety of locations (e.g., snow, zoo, farm). We also read Shamrock, Shamrock What Are You Hiding? and identified a variety of objects that shamrocks were covering on each page. During P.E., we looked for shamrocks under orange cones, went under/jumped on the parachute, and pretended to be different animals. With our friends from Room 4, we worked on following various one-step directions.
On Thursday, we had a visit from a sneaky leprechaun! We noticed his little green footprints across the table, his green pee in the toilet, and some of his gold coins on the floor. He left us clues to find red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple shamrocks. He led us all across the campus until we finally found his pot of gold in Ms. Mary's office!
After our hunt, we had a huge party with our friends from Room 14 and Room 4 to celebrate both St. Patty's and Sam's birthday! Happy birthday Sam! Thanks for the lovely Irish step dancing performance :)
