ACP High School New Student Update

Hello Future Knights!
I hope you have all been well since our last update. If you have enrolled since our last communication in early April, welcome to ACPHS!
We have several current students that are excited to serve as mentors for all of you and I look forward to you meeting your mentors at the New Student BBQ. In the meantime, please make sure that you have competed the mentor survey if you haven't already done so, and mark your calendars for our New Student BBQ on Thursday, May 11th. It will be a fun evening for you to meet some of our current students, gain some new friends and enjoy some food and games. There will be vegan and vegetarian options at the BBQ. I look forward to seeing you there.
On a quick side note, we post all of our new family updates and important information for new families on our website, 22-23 Incoming New Student Information.

Incoming New Student Survey and Mentor Program
Important: In order for us to pair our incoming students with a mentor, If you have not completed already, we need all students to complete the survey below ASAP. Students will meet their mentors for the first time at the New Student BBQ. We are using the survey information to pair all new students with a mentor. The survey will take less than 5 minutes and plus, you'll let us know your t-shirt size so we can pass out your free class t-shirt at orientation.

New Student BBQ
Our New Student BBQ will be held Thursday, May 12th. We had originally communicated the BBQ for Friday, May 13; however, we updated the RSVP last month . We hope to see on the 12th!
Please RSVP for our New Student BBQ. The event will be hosted by our KCP Link Crew on Thursday, May 12th and is open all New to ACP students! The event will begin at 5:30pm and end at 7:30pm. We will begin the night in our main gym with a Pep Assembly from 5:30 to 6:30. We will then rotate out to our north practice field for a BBQ. We are excited to meet our future Knights! Please RSVP below by May 6th.

**This is a student only event. Drop-off and pick-up will occur in our west drop-off zone next to the entrance to the Main Gym.
***Students who cannot make the New Student BBQ will be contacted by their mentor during the month of June. All mentors reach out to check-in with their mentees as a summer check-point to answer questions and prepare students for what to expect at orientation.
Drop off and Pick Up for the event will occur in front of our main gym. Please follow the yellow arrows for student drop-off and pick-up.

New Student Orientation
***Students who cannot make our New Student Orientation on July 14th will be contacted by their mentor prior to orientation and will make arrangements for a one-off make-up orientation. Make-up orientations will be offered on as needed basis virtually or in-person between July 15th through July 19th.

Virtual Day of the Knights
Day of the Knights is an annual event that occurs prior to the start of the school year for students and families to purchase various school items and pay assigned dues or class fees. Day of the Knights will be a virtual event again this year. It will begin on Thursday, July 14th, and close at 4:00pm on Tuesday, July 19th. Please check your email on Monday, July 11th for a special Day of the Knights Newsletter outlining the details regarding accessing this virtual event and the steps to take in order to pay student class fees, purchase a yearbook, pay the PSAT fee, open lunch accounts, and much more.
New Student Parking Permits
Any new student who wishes to park their vehicle on campus will have the opportunity to choose and pay for their parking spot at the beginning of the Day of the Knights, July 14th.

Student Government Applications
Applications are due Friday, May 6th. They can either be turned-in to the front office or emailed to our sponsor, Mr. Castro.
