Welcome Back!!

Fall 2020

Our Mission

We strive to provide an engaging, pro-active, and a student-centered learning community that focuses on positive academic and social achievement through the successful partnership between parents/guardians, community members, and our educational system. Throughout this school year, students and staff will continue integrating Google Applications for Education technologies plus other web-based platforms to target Next-Generation learning skills to meet the ever-changing demands needed for the 21st Century learner.

Creating the 21st Century Learner

Eldred Central School District understands the needs of today's learners and recognizes the ever-increasing importance of digital technology in the global economy. We seek ways to enhance instruction and further integrate technology within the classroom. Therefore, beginning with the 2020-2021 school year, all students in grades 7-12 were given a district-issued Chromebook as part of a one-to-one learning initiative. We’re excited about this opportunity for students and teachers to transform learning through the use of technology. This one to one initiative presents new opportunities for all of our students and provides a powerful instructional tool for our teachers to facilitate, guide, differentiate, enrich, and enhance our programming. Learning will now take place across all mediums within the school building – this is an integral process in becoming a 21st Century learner.

Congratulations to Kaitlyn Potter!!

Kaitlyn Potter spent this past summer in a Pre - College Program at Harvard University. Kaitlyn was accepted into the program and had to start virtually taking 4 prerequisite workshops in Ethical Decision Making, College Essay Writing, and Leadership roles. After those classes were completed successfully, then she was able to start her very demanding college level course in Constitutional Law, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties. Kaitlyn received a glowing recommendation/evaluation from her Harvard Lecturer on Government, which will help her with her future endeavors as a Lawyer/Crime Scene Investigator.
