AIM on Wednesday

Know & Go

AIM Math Agora and the Olympics!

Today was day two of our Math Agora. We tested the math problems that we wrote last week to ensure that our customers (3rd grade teachers) would approve of our questions. I also paid (starbursts and Hershey's Kisses) for our published questions. We moved on to multiplication and division questions by reviewing previous STARR test questions for ideas. Once again, they were very excited to write their own questions in the hopes that our customers will purchase them.

We spent the rest of our AIM time working on our Olympic games. This group LOVES to see their ideas come to life! I enjoyed watching groups build their armor, weigh their equipment (to ensure fairness) and work so well as a team. I did let them in on a HUGE secret... next week we are going to start working with the Mindstorm Robotics kits. It will be a challenge for them but I know it will be a great learning opportunity.
