Oak Hills Newsletter
Week of March 20 and 27, 2023
Message from the Principal
Dear Oak Hills Families,
We officially welcome spring today! We look forward to a great week with all your children as we will squeeze in as much teaching and learning before spring break.
We will be wrapping up the week and month together at our schoolwide assembly on Friday. Please remind your kiddos to show school spirit by wearing Otter apparel or any of our school colors--red, white, and blue!
I wish all our students and families a restful, safe, and joyful spring break next week!
Don't forget to Save the Date and time for the Family STEM Night: Thursday, April 6th, 5-7pm.
Sincerely,
Ms. Do

PTO Volunteer Opportunities
On The Move
Bringing back On The Move? Otter families with older kids may remember when we had On The Move at the school. This was a program where during recess on certain days, students could elect to run laps. Parent volunteers would help count and mark laps and kids would win prizes for reaching different running goals (1 mi, 5mi, etc…up to a marathon!).
Kids loved it - especially the younger grades! We would love to get it up and going for a 6 week session after spring break BUT we really need volunteers for this.
If you would be interested in supporting OTM in any way or learning more, please sign up on the volunteer spreadsheet below or email pto@oakhillspto.org. We will need to coordinate a little training meeting with one of our OTM veteran parent volunteers Nicole Evanson. If there is not enough interest, we can try again next year, but with the sun peeking its head out some more, we’d love to get it started!
