Relevant Statistical Finding
USA and Japan
I chose to highlight the areas below because they show how certain aspects of a country can effect the consumption and growth of food.
Although Japan has a higher population than the US, the US has more land to grow crops, and also slightly more money to fund the making of these crops.
These three data points influence what and how people eat in Japan and the US because the more land a country has, the more crops they can grow. This also influences what kind of crops can be grown and consumed. Also, the more funding for crop growth, the more crops can be grown. Lastly, the bigger the population, the more people have to be fed, and this can influence what foods can be made because if there are more people, a lot of people will not be able to eat many luxury foods. All of the data points have a clear influence on the food grown and eaten.
