Colorado Student Leader
Sydney Davidson, currently a junior at Elizabeth High School, recently graduated from the 2019 Colorado Student Leaders Institute (COSLI) program. COSLI is a state-legislated, residential program at the University of Colorado Denver. The best and brightest Colorado students are selected via a rigorous application process. Students then lived and learned on the CU campus during July. Davidson successfully completed the program and received three hours of transferable college credit, high school civics credit, and automatic admission into the University of Colorado Denver upon her graduation.
Safety Update
Staff continue to work on installing numerous safety measures throughout our schools including emergency notification hardware (to support school lock-down processes) and fire safety hardware. Vape detection sensors are now in place at the high school.
In August, in conjunction with the Elizabeth Fire Department, a majority of school staff participated in Stop the Bleed training to become better equipped and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.
Feel free to visit our Safety Department Website for more details.
