Laptop Reminders

Information to make everyone's life a tiny bit easier!

At The Beginning of Class:

Teachers are responsible for checking out each laptop individually and making sure that there are no defects (missing keys, scratched screen, etc). Make sure each student is signed out for the correct laptop and that the condition it is given to them and received is marked on the sign out sheet provided.

*PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE OR PULL THE THE CHARGE CORDS OUT OF THE CART!

Saving to the Server:

All Students should save files to their folder on the Cubs Server. Like this:


1. Save file to the desktop

2. From the Finder Menu Click on GO>Connect to Server

3. Enter Server adress: Cubs

4. Click Connect to Server

5. Name: Student ID #

Password: Student Last Name (lowercase) *Default password is panthers

6. Click connect

7. Drag the file from the desktop to your your folder



Before Shutting Down the Computer:

Drag all files and pictures off the desktop and into the trash.

Make sure to logoff of the server and log out student to ensure that the server folder is disconnected.

At the end of Class:

Teachers are personally responsible for ensuring that each laptop has been shut down correctly and returned in the exact same condition it was received in. Initial the sign out out form and to return to it to the library. Make sure that all laptops are placed in their correct slot in the cart and are plugged in properly.
