Volunteer(s) Extraordinaire
I first would like to thank all of my parent volunteers. I teach fifth grade in the Visions program and I am so grateful for all of the help from my parents. I couldn't do it without them.
A big THANK YOU goes to Bill Sparks! He has been volunteering in my classroom for 10 years! He comes once a week with a smile and is willing to help in any way needed. His kind words, giving heart and always a sweet treat make my week complete! Bill is amazing and I am very thankful!

ALL the things
This whole month, we are focusing on ALL things gratitude. Each morning, we start our day sharing one thing we are grateful for. We have also been writing gratitude letters to various people every day and telling them three reasons why we are thankful for them. Here is our class project that we did for our door display!

Unwavering support
My heart is full and I am grateful for the support the district has given my family since I was diagnosed with Tumefactive or Malignant Multiple Sclerosis 18 months ago.
Unfortunately, I have progressively gotten worse. However, my coworkers have all stepped up to the plate with no hesitation, including my entire resource team, supervisors and admin. They had to pick up a lot of my slack, or when I was absent/medical leave the workload was immensely overwhelming more often than not. As much as I felt awful about it every single day, they never made me feel guilty. I was gifted donated hours from anonymous coworkers and able to stay at home every time I had a flare up (new brain lesions) or was sick. I was gifted meals, rides home, help with the kids, anything and everything in-between. Even Santa money from a coworker. This will probably be my last job, hopefully not, because I WILL get strong again one day but to exit my entire working life with Evergreen is a pivotal moment in my journey of life. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to make a difference in so many children's lives everyday for the last few years. It was the best time of my life with my children. Thank you.

Can Do!
I am so grateful for the chance to work with our amazing Cascade Middle School staff. It is not easy working in a middle school, but our staff come to work every day with a sense of humor, a positive attitude, and a 'can do' mindset. I am also thankful for a return to a somewhat more 'normal' year after a few really tough pandemic years. Thanks CMS family!
