You Can Sue
If your work is protected under copyright, you may sue pupils and/or peers for stealing your work.
You Collect Royalties
If your work is protected under copyright, you will receive royalties every time some one uses your work.
Have You Seen This Before?
You most likely have. This is the copyright symbol. When you see this, it means that it is protected under copyright and it is illegal to steal it from the owner. The copyright symbol was introduced to the U.S. in 1909.
