Week at a glance: What are we learning?
Reading
We are learning how to develop interpretations of persuasive and opinion texts in order to infer, analyze, draw conclusions, investigate, and provide evidence of what the author is trying to persuade.
Success Criteria
We will know we have learned it when we can read or listen to a text and have a clear understanding of what the author or character is trying to convince the audience of and provide evidence from the text to support our thinking.
Writing
We are learning how to write opinion pieces, book reviews, and persuasive text to state an opinion and provide reasons that support my opinion.
Success Criteria
We will know that we have learned it when we have a completed graphic organizer and completed a three page writing stating our opinions and giving evidence to support our ideas.
Math
We are learning how to describe the time using a.m. and p.m.
Success Criteria
We will know we have learned it when we can…
- Show the time on a digital clock.
- Show the time on an analog clock.
Tell whether an event takes place in the a.m. or p.m.
