Announcing the 2016 Caldecott Club
For 1st - 3rd Grades
Get Ready to Read!
The library is pleased to announce the launch of the 2016 Caldecott Club, a reading incentive program for 1st-3rd graders!
How it works: In their first year of participating, students must read or be read 50 Caldecott books. In their second or third year, they must read or be read 25 Caldecott books. Completed forms should be submitted to the library by the student by May 9.
Many of the Caldecott books are available for check-out in the library. In addition to student check-out, parents may check out up to five award winners at a time. Students may also count Caldecott books they have read earlier in the school year, as well as those read to them during class or library time.
The program will be explained in full to each class during library visit.
Forms with complete instructions and list of books are available on the library's catalog page.
