CSE Mini Spartan Weekly 2.4.18
Your Once-a-Week Update from Cold Spring Elementary
From the Principal's Desk
Greetings from CSE,
We are so excited to announce that we are bringing a super big name to Cold Spring Elementary! So, it is not Justin Timberlake, but close! The Youtube superstars KOO KOO Kanga ROO are coming on February 28th for a special/ exclusive CLOSED to the public show just for CSE students. We are stoked to see the Pop See Ko Live with Koo Koo! Don't know who they are? Ask you kids or look them up on Youtube! Merchandise will be able for presale! See the notice below!
This opportunity is only possible through the fundraising efforts of our students. This year, you may have noticed we did not ask you to sell any items (frozen, wrapping paper, magazines). This year we are only doing our annual Walk-a-Thon Healthy Fundraiser for our students. Our goal is $50 per student. Look for more information soon regarding the details! Make sure and save the date for our Party on the Patio and Walk-a-Thon for May 17th, 2018!
Have a great week and stay #CSESTRONG!
5th Grade Book Club
Many of you may have already watched their book talk on the digital signage recommending the book Refugee. They will be competing for the Vince Lombooki Award!
With a win, they would bring home $500 from Scholastic Books. We will keep you posted on when the voting will begin so that we can get everyone we know to vote for them. Follow along on Twitter at #30secondbooktalk

If students bring in a donation, any amount, they can dress up as superheroes. We are asking students to be superheroes by helping others in need. Shannon Koenig, mother of Nicholas, is planning to come in on Friday, February 9, to tell their story. She will speak to our students about Nicholas and the Hero Foundation and how students can make a difference for other families that are fighting pediatric cancer.
