Variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease
What is it?
Mad cow disease is a neurological disorder found in cows. When a human eats beef infected with this disease they can get the human form of mad cow disease called "Variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease". This disease has no cure and can be fatal! Both types of mad cow are caused by a prion, a misfolded protein, which attacks the brain and creates holes in it, causing all kinds of neurological issues.
Symptoms
1. Memory loss
2. Dementia, hallucinations, and general confusion.
3. Depression, OCD, Paranoia, and other psychological disorders.
4. Impaired speech, Seizures, and loss of motor skills.
